Information We Store
CaptureNest processes all screenshots entirely on your device.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information or browsing activity.
The extension stores the following data locally on your device only:
- User preferences (such as export format, image quality, Smart Cleanup settings)
- Screenshot history, including captured images, thumbnails, timestamps, image size, and file information
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a screenshot.
Data We Do Not Collect
CaptureNest does not collect or transmit:
- Personal information
- Browsing history
- Website content
- URLs of visited pages
- Cookies
- Authentication information
- Analytics or telemetry data
- Crash reports
Smart Cleanup
Smart Cleanup temporarily analyzes webpage elements in memory to identify cookie banners, overlays, advertisements, and similar interface elements. The extension temporarily hides these elements only during the capture process and immediately restores the page afterward.
No webpage content or analysis results are stored or transmitted.
Third Parties
CaptureNest does not use third-party analytics, advertising services, or remote AI services.
Remote Code
CaptureNest does not load or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other executable code from external servers.
